At Ellite, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all users of our ride-sharing services, including riders, drivers, and staff (collectively, the “Services”). Our Zero Tolerance Policy outlines behaviours that are strictly prohibited. Violations of this policy may result in immediate account suspension, termination, or legal action, without prior warning, at our sole discretion.
- Prohibited Behaviours The following actions are strictly prohibited when using our Services:
- Violence or Threats:Any form of physical violence, assault, or threats of harm against riders, drivers, or others.
- Harassment or Discrimination:Harassment, bullying, or discriminatory behaviour based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- Sexual Misconduct:Unwanted sexual advances, inappropriate comments, or any form of sexual harassment or assault.
- Illegal Activities:Transporting illegal substances, engaging in illegal transactions, or violating traffic or transportation laws.
- Weapons:Carrying or using firearms, knives, or other dangerous weapons during rides, except, where permitted by law and disclosed in advance.
- Property Damage:Intentionally damaging or defacing a driver’s vehicle, personal property, or Ellite’s assets.
- Fraud or Misrepresentation:Providing false information, using stolen payment methods, or engaging in fraudulent activities, such as manipulating fares or ratings.
- Unsafe Behaviours:Actions that compromise safety, such as distracting the driver, refusing to wear a seatbelt, or exceeding vehicle capacity.
- Disrespectful Conduct:Verbal abuse, obscene language, or disruptive behaviours that interferes with the ride experience.
- Enforcement
- Reporting Violations:Users must report violations of this policy immediately via the app or by contacting us at info@ellite.com.au.
- Investigation:We will investigate reported violations promptly and fairly. We may suspend accounts during the investigation process.
- Consequences:Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination, removal from the platform, and reporting to law enforcement where applicable. No refunds or compensation will be provided for terminated accounts.
- No Warnings:Due to the severity of prohibited behaviours, we may take action without prior notice.
- Safety and Compliance
- All users must comply with local laws, regulations, and Ellite’s User Agreement and Safety Guidelines.
- Drivers must maintain valid licenses, insurance, and vehicle safety standards.
- Riders must follow driver instructions related to safety and conduct during rides.
- Appeals
- If your account is suspended or terminated, you may request a review by contacting info@ellite.com.au within 14 days of the action. Include your account details and an explanation of the incident.
- We will review appeals and respond within 30 days. Our decision is final.
- Changes to This Policy
- We may update this Zero Tolerance Policy to reflect changes in our Services or legal requirements. Updates will be communicated via email, in-app notifications, or our website.
- Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
