You can drive with Ellite with your own car or hire a car. Here’s what you need to do:
- Be at least 20 years of age (21 years of age in New South Wales)
- Have access to a vehicle that meets Ellite’s vehicle requirements
- Hold a valid full driver licence in your state
- Have held an unrestricted driver licence in any Australian state or territory for at least 12 months. In NSW, the current requirement is 12 months on an unrestricted Australian licence within the last 48 months (effective until 1 April 2026, unless revoked earlier). After this, the requirement will revert to 12 months within the last 24 months.
- Provide all the necessary documents required in your state or territory and in accordance with the type of vehicle you will be driving (taxi)
- Be listed as an insured driver for the vehicle you plan to drive
